Palamidi Fortress in Nafplio (Φρούριο Παλαμηδίου στο Ναύπλιο) The route starts from the parking lot at the port of Nafplio and visits, by climbing the 999 steps, one of the largest and most beautiful Venetian fortresses in Greece. It is maintained in excellent condition and has been built following the morphology of Palamidi hill. The architecture, the importance of the castle and the view of the Nafplio city, the opposite coasts and the Argolic gulf are striking.
